MORNING- Dundalk Golf Club 

Nestled between the great links of Ireland’s North East coast lies the region’s premier parkland course at Dundalk Golf Club.  

Set on an elevated site above the seaside village of Blackrock, Dundalk Golf Club offer magnificent panoramic views across Dundalk Bay to the legendary Colley & Mourne mountains.  

Founded in 1905, Dundalk Golf Club is a member’s club but warmly welcomes visitors to come and enjoy it’s beautiful course. 

LUNCH- The Brasserie 

The Brasserie at The Fairways Hotel is a firm favourite in Dundalk. No matter what time of day or dining experience you are looking for, our Executive Chef Declan Dunne and team are at your service. Savour all the flavours and local produce of the Boyne Valley here at Fairways Hotel Dundalk!  

AFTERNOON- Carlingford Lough Ferry Tour  

End your day with a calming cruise across The Lough of Legends, a must when you are staying with us at Fairways Hotel Dundalk. Set sail aboard the Carlingford Lough Ferry, which takes you from Greencastle at the foot of the Mournes to Greenore beneath the Cooley Mountains, or vice versa, and back again if you wish. Tickets can be booked online.  PS: keep your eyes peeled on board for our friendly mythological sea creatures, called ‘horse eels’! 

MORNING- Ravensdale Equestrian Centre 

Ideally located close to the national forestry award winning Ravensdale Forest, near Dundalk, County Louth, Ravensdale Lodge Equestrian and Trekking Centre is in an area of breath-taking beauty. Lying in the shadow of the Cooley Mountains and with wide open spaces that are a horse rider’s dream, the lodge is proud to offer riders lessons, trekking, hacking, cross country and much more. LUNCH- Rocksalt Café 

Having spend a morning working up an appetite then we have the perfect lunch location for you, Rocksalt Café, Dundalk. The team here are extremely passionate and proud of what they have achieved since opening in 2018. So much so, their tagline is “Rocksalt, the home of good food” Need we say anymore! They specialise in in tasty brunches and lunches and roast their own coffee blend. 

AFTERNOON– Blackrock Village 

Walk off your delicious lunch with a stroll around the historic fishing village of Blackrock. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the Irish Sea, build a sandcastle and take in the breath-taking views from the seafront promenade. Warm up with a cup of traditional Irish tea, wander through this small village shops or find yourself a cosy corner to sit back, relax & read a book.
